God's love in action. Everyday.

LOVE IS THE WAY to restoration, hope, and recovery—and it’s what every hurting heart finds when they walk through the doors here at Scott Mission.

Get ready to be inspired by the stories and photos within the 2023 Annual Report Highlights. And while it’s reporting back on the past year, it’s also the roadmap for the year ahead as we expand efforts to bridge the hunger gap for families and individuals, nurture hope through counselling, support groups, ministry outreach, and life skills workshops—and maximize the full potential of The Hub to impact communities across the GTA who need it most.

THANK YOU for sharing meals and safe
refuge with hungry, homeless neighbours!

Urgent need services offered by Scott Mission are an answered prayer for people who are homeless, and for the growing number of families and individuals who are crushed by the cost of housing, groceries, and transportation.

Fatma and her family are excited about making a new life in the GTA, living free from fear and persecution. But for now, they are living in a family shelter until work and a new home are secured. That means even everyday basics like groceries are luxury items. Fatma was relieved and so thankful the day she learned that fresh fruit, vegetables, and so much more are available at Scott Mission.

THANK YOU for providing people with access to life-transforming mental healthcare.

In 2023, you helped provide 118 men and women with professional clinical counselling, plus other support to help them to heal and rebuild their lives.

Scott Mission's Clinical Counselling program launches in 2022 to help people struggling with mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to abuse recovery. The program expanded in 2023 to include addiction recovery counselling.

Scott Mission's Case Management program, launched in October 2021, continues to help participants with urgent issues so we can then address their spiritual, physical, psychological, and social needs. Case management services can range from advocacy to intensive care—continuing to promote greater stability and health among those who are receiving help.

Scott Mission's Health Clinic at 346 Spadina, launched in December 2023, provides a safe space for people to receive quality medical care that is essential to a person's well-being.

THANK YOU for investing in the lives of children across the GTA!

Your support of Scott Mission’s after-school programs, summer camps, and leadership programs has seen countless young lives transformed by God’s love. Each of our vital programs promotes learning, leadership, spiritual growth, and much more. There’s even a family camp to help single parents build stronger relationships with their children—all in an environment renowned for its beauty, peace, endless supply of activities, and meaningful fellowship with others.

In 2023, children and teens had access to quality role models and character-building activities while learning about God’s love. Thank you for enriching the lives of children and youth from the GTA.

THANK YOU for launching THE HUB to reach communities in need.

THE HUB is up and running; delivering meals, groceries, family services, and other vital resources into communities where needs are greatest!

This strategy to increase Scott Mission’s life-transforming outreach to vulnerable neighbourhoods includes an operations centre that houses our warehouse, a centralized kitchen, and food distribution capabilities. This facility is at work now:

  • Providing food and other help more efficiently and effectively for struggling neighbours across the city—working with partners and community leaders.

  • Reaching families and individuals closer to where they live, eliminating long travel times to Scott Mission’s food banks.

  • Meeting higher meal and food bank demand—we’ve seen a 17% increase in hot meals served year over year and an 18% increase in grocery orders provided since 2021.
